Distribution: Worldwide, common in temperate and humid sub tropical zones.

Information: Annual, thermophile, nitrophile. A significant weed in vegetables, sugarbeet,
maize and soya. Several subspecies and many biotypes which differ in their morphology and
susceptibility to herbicides. Sometimes eaten as a vegetable.
