The only way to be clear and precise in describing a species is to use its internationally recognised Botanical Name (sometimes referred to as the Latin Name). The 5-letter Bayer Code is becoming widely recognised among weed biologists and has the advantage of avoiding synonyms which result from past revisions of some botanical names.
